The College of Agribusiness Management was started in the “Shiksha Bhawan”, constructed with financial support (Rs. 32 lakh) from the I.C.A.R. With the passage of time, the following infrastructures have been added in the college to develop it is as a citadel of learning.  

Management Development Programme Hall

The MDP hall fitted with Conference U-shaped table, air-conditioners etc. provides an ideal environment for trainings, lectures, simulation exercises, role-plays, group discussions, brainstorming, seminars, and meetings. The hall is well equipped with Public Address System.  

 

Executive Development Programme Hall

Realizing the request of corporate houses, government institutions and constituent colleges of the university to organize the Executive Development sessions under the aegis of CABM, an EDP hall with a seating capacity of 45 persons fitted with Conference Round table, air-conditioners etc. got constructed.  The hall is well equipped for organizing training sessions, lectures, role-plays, group discussions, brainstorming, seminars, meetings, etc.

 

Information Technology Laboratory:

The IT lab is having all the latest software for common use, including SPSS, ORACLE and Developer 2000. The IT lab has added 20 PC Pentium IV, 3.0 GHz, 8 UPS 650 KVA, I UPS 5 KVA and 3 DLP projectors in year under report. The IT lab of the college is equipped with the following equipments:

 

PC Server 2.2 GHz,  PC Pentium IV, 3.4 GHz, Color & Laser printer, Online UPS KVA, Laptop, LCD Projector, DLP Projector

Cyber Cell

An exclusive Cyber Cell equipped with 10 PC (Pentium IV 3.0 Mhz) provides Internet facility through Agricultural Research Information Service (ARIS) line to all the students and faculty members. 128 Kbps internet connectivity is provided with state-of-the-art adaptive Broad Band receiver from Leased Line with another BSNL Broad Band connection of 512 Kbps. CABM has also acquired VSAT connectivity for Internet.

Library:

 The College of Agribusiness Management maintains a rich Library and Documentation Centre to fulfill the needs of the students joining the academic programme. The library is fully air-conditioned and is providing wide range of reading material to the students as well as to the staff members. It acts as a knowledge portal to students as it continuously sparks their intellectual stream of thoughts with the inputs drawn to it from eminent management writers and philosophers. It is well equipped with latest books and journals related to Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Production and Operations Research, IT, agri-inputs, pharmaceuticals and various auto biographies of successful leaders and managers. Besides this, it also has a pool of audio, video cassettes, CDs. The college library is rich reservoir of journals related to management and agribusiness. Around 37 journals are available out of which twenty are new additions. Besides this, the college has got online subscriptions for some important journals. Efforts are being made to computerize the whole library system including issuing, receipt and purchase of books.

Purchase of new books/journals (2005-2006): Realizing the need of enriching the library, the purchase of new books is a regular phenomenon in CABM.   In this year, fifty new books on Marketing Research, Sales and Distribution, Marketing Intelligence and Marketing Research were purchased.
